Payday: The Heist meets Left 4 Dead in new game

Overkill Software, makers of Payday: The Heist, are working with Valve on a new game.

According to Overkill, the collaborative project is already underway.

“As perceptive gamers will have noticed, several hints have recently been dropped into Payday: The Heist, which has led to various rumors," said game director Ulf Andersson. "We are excited to be able to confirm that an in-depth collaboration between Overkill and Valve is currently in production.

"We are working on a very cool blend of Payday and Left 4 Dead," Andersson continued. "I am sure it is so exciting that it will have some players check into the hospital before we are done.”

A recent patch for The Heist suggested a connection to Left 4 Dead, planting clues such as the Valve game's signature health packs.

Payday: The Heist came out last year and is available on PSN and Steam. New DLC is planned.
