Pennywise the Clown plays peekaboo in this new image for ‘It’

Stephen King's classic clown horror story is being rebooted next year and as of right now, we have very few details. Earlier this year we got our first look at the new Pennywise the Clown (who looks pretty… strange) and now we have a new look at him in this picture from EW's 2017 movie preview coverage.

The image shows him peeking his head out in the sewers of Derry, Maine with what looks to be blood around his "mane" or scarf or whatever that is around his neck! He certainly looks unsettling but it remains to be seen if he'll be able to top Tim Curry's take on the character.

Director Andrés Muschietti spoke with EW about the evil clown."Pennywise shows up, he's front and center, and he does his show. He has an act," Muschietti says. It releases in September 2017 and will be the first part in a two-part movie series. The first film will focus on the children in the 80's who are haunted by Pennywise the Clown and the second will take place 30 years later when the kids are grown up.
