People actually believed a prank video about drilling a hole into your iPhone 7 would reveal a working headphone port

You just can't make this stuff up. For all the dumb things people say to hype themselves up on the internet, it's just so wonderful when those same individuals make complete asses of themselves in a downfall of fail. Such appears to be the case with a new YouTube video, which "claims" there's a "secret hack" to get a working headphone jack into an iPhone 7.

By drilling a hole in it.

For those of you who don't know, the iPhone 7 relies on wireless headphones to be able to listen to music, a relatively intense criticism that has been levied at the device since its reveal. Naturally, the YouTuber known as TechRax saw an opportunity (and a brilliant one) capitalized on the gullible (stupid) iPhone users desperate for a solution.

Obviously, not everyone got that it was a joke. 11 million views later, TechRax (whose real name is Taras Maksimuk) has gotten some not so nice backlash from said gullible (stupid) people. Here's one example via Maksimuk's Twitter.

Maksimuk describes himself as a "Ukrainian who specializes in smashing technology for your pleasure." So if some of these people had Googled the name TechRax, or searched for it on Twitter (seriously, there's no excuse not to do your research people), they might have saved themselves the embarrassment. Then again, dumb people doing dumb things makes for some of the best entertainment there is.
