Persona 3 movie green-lit for theaters

A theatrical movie of Persona 3 is underway.

The announcement came from the final scene of Persona 4 The Animation: The Factor of Hope, which hit theaters in Japan this month as a condensed version of the anime featuring new scenes. The ending showed the protagonist from Persona 3 holding a gun to his head, firing, and then confirming the film's green-lit status.

The character appeared in traditional 2D, although the teaser did not mention whether the film would be an anime.

Persona 3 FES released on PSN in April. The game originally came to PlayStation 2 and also PSP.
