Phantom Breaker Battle Ground is a 2D side-scrolling action game planned for XBLA in 2013.
Developer 5pb. has not confirmed a North American release, but Phantom Breaker, the title it's based on, is releasing in the US on June 12. It's possible that the company and publisher 7Sixty will consider bringing the upcoming game to our shores if the existing fighter finds an audience.
Battle Ground is a much different take on Phantom Breaker. It now sports chibi character designs and features co-op and competitive play (including battle royal) for up to four people.
Famitsu has revealed the first screenshots of the game.
