Yesterday, indie developer Phil Fish announced that Fez would be making its way to Steam on May 1. The news was received in quite the positive fashion amongst fans, and it prompted Fish to take to Reddit in a brief "Ask Me Anything." Not surprisingly, most people were asking if Fez would be available on other platforms aside from the PC.
According to the outspoken dev, Mac and Linux ports of the treasured puzzle-platformer are undoubtedly on the way. An Ouya version is also currently in the works, and there are plans for iOS editions.
Regarding the Vita, Fish stated that he's hoping to get Fez on Sony's portable, but nothing is certain just yet. "I can't really 100 percent confirm that yet, but I'm working with Sony trying to figure something out," explained Fish.
As far as the 3DS is concerned, it looks like that handheld will likely never get its own version of Fez, as Fish feels the game wouldn't be a good fit for Nintendo's device. "We don't have any plans for that, no," explained the dev. "People keep assuming Fez would be a no-brainer on 3DS, but in truth it would be kind of pointless. The game is practically always shown in isometric 3D, there's never any perspective there. I don't think it would work."
