Phil Spencer on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2: ‘I really want to see this come’ to Backwards Compatibility

A lot of fans probably agree with you, Phil

Phil Spencer has been quite active on the social media front with the fans. A lot of that recently has had to do with the cancellation of Scalebound and the prospects for exclusive games on Xbox One. And while there are a lot of concerns behind both of those topics, other fans are turning their attention to Backwards Compatibility. Spencer himself has previously promised that the month of January would be "pretty good" on that front, but the program is still without one of its most requested games, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Spencer took a fan question on the subject recently, and he revealed that it was a game he wants to see get support. Here's the tweet:

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is currently the most requested game on the user voting list, coming in at almost 208,000 votes. The next closest game is Skyrim, which is in second by a whopping margin of over 35,000 votes. Suffice it to say; Xbox One gamers want Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 playable on their console.

If you haven't voted for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on the Backwards Compatibility user vote, it won't hurt to do so. Because the original Black Ops currently has support, it doesn't seem farfetched that the sequel could be coming sometime soon.
