Capcom confirmed today that the latest Ace Attorney project (AA6) will be getting localized for Western audiences this September, under the name "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney — Spirit of Justice."
Spirit of Justice takes Phoenix to a mystic kingdom that follows different court customs, where verdicts are decided, not by mounting evidence from lawyers, but by a victim's final moments. While Phoenix finds a new prosecution rival in royal priestess Rayfa, Apollo remains in familiar territory at the Wright Anything Agency, where a case he takes on is said to have "explosive implications," according to the press release.
The follow-up to Dual Destinies will mark the return of past investigation modes (including the Mood Matrix) and characters, as well as the debut of new techniques. Like its predecessor, Spirit of Justice will be distributed as a digital download via the Nintendo eShop for $29.99. But it remains to be seen whether or not it will also follow suit with a Mature ESRB rating.
Just this week, artwork featured in Japanese magazine Famitsu confirmed that Miles Edgeworth and Simon Blackquill will be in the game. The thought of more steely responses from the sharp prosecutor is enough reason for excitement.
