Earlier this week Bandai Namco revealed Trunks as a fighter in their upcoming Dragon Ball fighting game, Dragon Ball FighterZ. According to the latest issue of V-Jump (Ryokutya2089 via Siliconera), Trunks isn't the only one joining the game.
Piccolo and Krillin are also going to be featured in the game. V-Jump detailed one of Krillin's gameplay elements, where you can power up his Destructo Disc (Kienzan) by holding down a button, you can further power it up, and it’ll be unblockable to top it off.
The magazine also detailed that the game's online mode will work similar to other Arc System Works games where you control chibi characters. You'll also be able to find the chibis.
So far, the confirmed characters are Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Cell, Frieza, Majin Buu, and Trunks (as well as Piccolo and Krillin).
Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball FighterZ, features 3v3 tag/support gameplay, aerial combos, destructible stages, and huge scenes from the Dragon Ball anime recreated in 60FPS and 1080p resolution. On top of that, Dragon Ball FighterZ will be supported on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
If you're looking to get your hands on the game, you can sign up for the Closed Beta on July 26, 2017, for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The game is set to release in 2018.
