Pid Easy Mode patch is live, thousands reportedly dancing in street

Earlier this month, developer Might and Delight announced that its challenging puzzle platformer Pid would receive a brand new Easy Mode via a downloadable patch. Well, frustrated players need not fret any longer, because the update is now live for the PC version of the game.

According to the developer, the new patch addresses a number of issues that Pid players were having with the game. In addition to throwing in the new Easy option, a few alterations have been made to the game's Normal difficulty. Boss levels have been shortened, difficulty spikes have been smoothed out, and players can switch between the two options without having to restart the game.

"In Pid's Easy Mode we have redesigned nearly ALL levels and maybe most importantly made ALL the boss fights shorter and more simple. We have studied the reviews and playthroughs on YouTube thoroughly to determine how we can create a version of the game that can be enjoyed by everyone."

Still no word on when this patch will hit the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network versions of Pid, but here's hoping it's soon. I can hear the distant cries of upset console players who can't emotionally deal with the high level of difficulty in this charming little puzzler.
