Earlier this week we learned that Pikmin 3, Nintendo's real-time strategy game, was schedule to release sometime in Spring 2013. This was according to an Iwata Asks Q&A posted to the Nintendo website. As it turns out, this date only applied to the game's release in Japan.
Nintendo has since updated the page, with the following:
Pikmin 3 is scheduled for release for the Wii U console in the spring of 2013 in Japan, and during the Wii U launch window, from system release thru 3/31/2013 in the US.
"We originally published this article citing only the expected release timing in Japan," an Editor's note explained. "We apologize for any confusion this may have caused."
The Wii U is set to release in the U.S. on November 18, 2012. We'll keep you updated with anything we learn about Pikmin 3's release.
