Nintendo today announced a new camera feature for the highly anticipated Pikmin 3 that will allow you to take pictures of your gameplay and share them with Miiverse.
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata explained that the game will let you use the Wii U GamePad as a camera to share the same perspective as Pikmin and take close-up pictures of landscapes and creatures in the game. You can then share them with friends in Miiverse.
"I think you'll be able find new enjoyment by capturing climactic moments where you can see scenery and features at the same eye level as Pikmin and share them with others," Iwata said.
On a side note, Nintendo presented a few examples of this feature, giving players another look at the impressive HD graphics of Pikmin 3. The close-up shots look gorgeous.
