When Bethesda revealed Fallout 4, they waited until the game was nearly done with development. Leaving only five months from the game's reveal to its release. It looks like Nintendo has taken Bethesda's cue and has confirmed that Pikmin 4 is “close to completion.”
That's right, Nintendo has been developing Pikmin 4 all along and never told anyone about it – except for an interview that took place over a month ago that was forced to be hidden away from the public's eye until this month.
Eurogamer had an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto back in July, but was told to hold onto it for a while. It's surprising to see Pikmin 4 announced so close to the release of Pikmin 3, which released in 2013. We had to wait nine years before we saw Pikmin 3 after Pikmin 2's release, so this is a welcome break. There's no word on which console Nintendo plans to release Pikmin 4 on, it could be for the Wii U or for their yet to be revealed console.
