Pirate simulator Pixel Piracy headed to Xbox One and PS4

505 Games is bringing the hit pirate simulator from mobile to both PS4 and Xbox One next month. The only game of its kind, Pixel Piracy features 8-bit pirates in a fully open-world simulation. You are able to sail to different lands, plunder, pillage and raid on your way to becoming the ultimate pirate. The map in Pixel Piracy is randomly generated, resulting in a different experience every time you play.

As pirate captain, you will enlist your crew, upgrade your ship and take to the high seas. An upgradable loot system included multiple RPG elements also exists.

I've played the Steam version of the game and it is very detailed, despite the limitations of 8-bit graphics. Your ship can be upgraded with weapons like cannons, better sails, more food and even a training area for your pirates to upgrade themselves. Of cousre, like any great captain, you'll need to keep your crew happy to avoid mutiny. There is a lot more than meets the eye in Pixel Piracy.

Pixel Piracy will launch on February 16th on both PS4 and Xbox One for $14.99.
