Planetarium to Hit Japanese WiiWare Tomorrow

Planetarium, the application that turns your Wii into an at-home astrology map, will be released in Japan tomorrow.

Showing a “virtual description” of the sky, there will be three different modes for people to learn about stars and constellations:

-Sky Observation: lets you take a look at the night sky, using the Wiimote to scroll and select stars in different areas of the world, turn constellations on/off.

-Planetarium Mode: features 11 learning programs teaching about history/mythology along with a narrated guide.

-Sky Field Guide: Search for certain objects/astronomy terms, 88 constellations and 110 clusters/nebulas which are linked to the Sky Observation Mode.

The U.S. version of the game should arrive sometime within the next couple of weeks, under the name My Planetarium. Here’s an official trailer for the upcoming application:
