PlanetSide 2 for PS4 really does exist. I promise it does; I've played it already. And soon, you will be able to also.
Unfortunately, there's still no release date for PlanetSide 2 on PS4 just yet, but fans who are attending PlayStation Experience in December will be able to go hands-on with the console version of SOE's anticipated shooter.
What this means, however, is that PlanetSide 2 probably won't launch on PS4 before the dates of PlayStation Experience — December 6th and 7th — since Sony has it included in a list of games you'll be able to play at the event "before they're released." It also adds some weight to my previous speculation that SOE is waiting specifically for PlayStation Experience to announce PS2's PS4 launch date.
SOE maintains that PlanetSide 2 will launch on PS4 in 2014. Much of the actual gameplay seems smooth and polished, based on what I've played, with SOE's main focus on the user interface. Earlier this week, PlanetSide 2 creative director Matt Higby showed off a batch of new screenshots of the UI.
Seeing as how PlayStation Experience is one of the last major events before the end of the year, it only makes sense at this point. On top of that SOE community manager Tony "RadarX" Jones has been teasing that announcements for the game are "coming soon."
