PlanetSide 2 PS4 beta begins ‘in under a month’

Sony Online Entertainment still hasn't confirmed whether or not the build for PlanetSide 2's beta has been submitted to Sony, but a new tweet from company president John Smedley certainly seems to indicate that it has.

Yesterday, Smedley, who previously acknowledged that the build would be submitted by Monday, December 22 at the latest, told fans that closed beta for PlanetSide 2 would begin in "under a month."

While many of us accepted January as a more realistic timeframe for the beta, there was some hope that if the beta was submitted and approved quick enough by Sony we could see the beta arrive as early as December. Of course, when the date of submission we had been originally told about had passed quietly, January 2015 became the more realistic date.

Assuming Smedley's tweet is accurate, that means we now have less than one month until PlanetSide 2's beta arrives on PlayStation 4. Sign-ups for the closed beta can be found here.
