PlanetSide 2 PS4 info coming ‘really soon,’ possibly at PlayStation Experience

Information possibly regarding the beta release for PlanetSide 2 on PlayStation 4 is coming really soon, according to Sony Online Entertainment Community Manager Tony "RadarX" Jones.

Elaborating on his initial tease, Jones added that SOE "hope[s] to talk more about it really soon!" Of course, most of this was said in early-mid October, and seeing as how we're almost in November, I think SOE and I have different interpretations of the word "soon." 

For the most part, Jones has been pretty coy in sharing more details, only teasing that news regarding PlanetSide 2 on PS4 is coming "so soon you won't know how soon that soon really is. It'll be an explosoon."

So looking ahead, what "big" events does Sony have planned where it would be appropriate to announce something as huge as PlanetSide 2's beta launching on PS4?

PlayStation Experience. December 6th-7th at Las Vegas (which also happens to be where SOE Live was held).

When asked if PlanetSide 2 will be part of the two-day community event — which features PlayStation games, panels with developers, and "exciting" game announcements — Jones answered: "We're currently talking about it."

Unfortunately, that's all I've got for you guys. Last I heard (back in August at SOE Live), SOE was making "a bunch of progress" in terms of optimization with the interface on PS4. In fact, interface optimization has been a major focal point of the dev team since I first saw the game running on PS4 back at E3 in June. 

All SOE told me at the time was that PlanetSide 2 is coming to PS4 in 2014. Two months later, I tried to ask again.

Technically, PlayStation Experience falls within that window. I'm calling now, SOE will announce the release of PlanetSide 2 beta on PS4 at SOE Live.

On a side note, maybe if SOE wouldn't be such a tease, they wouldn't get such mean tweets.
