Planetwide Games’ Comic Book Creator
Self-Publishing Software
Special Trial Version Available For A Limited
Time
Orange County, CA (October 26, 2005) – With the
upcoming launch of Planetwide Games’ landmark Comic Book Creator self-publishing
software, the company is making available a special
14-day
trial version of the Comic Book Creator for a limited time. Planetwide Games developed this
proprietary and patent-pending PC software using a team of artists and comic
book experts.
“People really need to experience the software
for themselves, to truly appreciate Comic Book Creator’s ease of use and
functionality,” said Kevin Donovan, President of Planetwide Games. “This super
simple, easy-to-use software allows the user to create personalized comic books
using your own video gameplay, DVD movies, personal photos, and other digital
imagery.”
Comic Book Creator is the first PC based
self-publishing software to integrate the comic book and video game industries.
Comic Book Creator’s self-publishing software will empower a gamer or comic book
enthusiast to make their own original comic. Users will now be able to easily
self-publish and share their own comic book adventure captured and created from
your PC based video gameplay.
"Video Gamers can now create a
professional-looking, high-quality comic book to immortalize an important battle
scene or dramatic encounter within their gameplay," notes Donovan. "Comic Book
Creator lets gamers add in text bubbles to their digital screenshots, as well as
classic comic book features like powerful action-word graphics that emphasize
their gameplay. Gameplay is a very personal digital experience of time spent
playing your favorite game and now you can share your virtual character identity
and experience with your friends online through email, posting to your blog and
printing out your own personalized comic.”
To create a comic, users need only select one of
the 500 unique layout and design templates, drop in their captured digital
images and insert text bubbles, icons, captions and clipart to bring to life
whatever story they can imagine. Comic Book Creator will work with any jpeg, bmp
or gif digital image, and the retail version will allow users to share their
masterpiece with friends by printing or exporting the image into an HTML or PDF
file for online distribution.
Planetwide Games’ s Comic Book Creator will be
released in November 2005 and will sell for $19.99 through specialty video game,
electronic and mass market retailers in the US and Canada.
Consumers are now able to pre-order the Comic
Book Creator Self-Publishing Software at retailers throughout North America and
