Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare gets new map, upgrades and mode via free DLC

Well this is certainly a nice surprise. Fans of the recently released Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare are about to get some more content via free DLC. That's right, FREE! The new Garden Variety Pack DLC will include a bunch of goodies.

First and foremost, players will be able to duke it out on a completely new map called Chomp Town. The DLC comes with an all new mode titled Gnome Bomb where both teams have to work to try and take out the other's reinforced garden or graveyard. There is also a completely new zombie enemy, the Map Pirate Zombie, which can be found in levels Sharkbite Shores and Port Scallywag.

Most notably however, the DLC will include 24 new ability upgrades, three for each class, such as the Sunflower's Solar Beam, Chomper's Super Goop and the All-Star Zombies Ultra Tackle. These upgrades will allow for an even deeper customization and a bigger variety.

The Garden Variety DLC will be available for free starting March 18th on the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
