Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Zomboss Down DLC now available

If you're looking for an excuse to dip back into Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, then the all-new Zomboss Down DLC is the perfect reason. The content is now available to download on both Xbox One and Xbox 360 and it's completely free of charge.

The DLC will add an all new map that uses a western motiff, as indicated by the announcement trailer. In addittion, eight new playable characters will be introduced, an increased level cap from 20 to 30, hundreds of new collectibles, and challenges for Xbox One owners.

This marks the second free DLC patch for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare after last month's Garden Variety. If Popcap and EA can keep releasing free content, that will bring a lot of life for a $40 game that released before the multiplayer behemoth that is Titanfall. Sadly, there's still no concrete word on a PC release date. Hopefully that will come sooner rather than later, because while I'm enjoying the game on my Xbox One, I have quite a few friends who are anxiously awaiting the PC release.
