Tinertia is the new platformer by Candescent games and Reverbinc XP that changes up the traditional platform of uh, well, platformers. Rather than jumping back and forth and up and down, Tinertia allows us to control a robot equipped with a rocket launcher that propels him through the level. Simply by adjusting the angle of the rocket launcher, our friendly robot Weldon can launch himself up, down and all around the level in order to proceed.
In Tinertia, gamers play as Weldon, the inauspicious robot who is equipped with a powerful rocket launcher that enables players to propel themselves through a kaleidoscopic series of challenging industrial environments. Weldon is stranded on a planet controlled by the evil ARC that has identified him as a threat and is now prepared to destroy him at any cost. Geared for the streaming generation with easy-to-pick-up but tough-to-master mechanics, Tinertia challenges gamers to master rocket-jumping. Players will control the momentum, rhythm, and speed of Weldon to launch him over deadly obstacles, outrun robo-bosses, and ultimately escape off the planet. Featuring leaderboards with saved replays of friends as well as the best players in the world, Tinertia will push gamers to see who is the ultimate master of rocket-jumping.
The PC version of Tinertia is currently set for release on September 3rd while both the Xbox One and PS4 versions are still in development. It is unknown on whether or not they will release this year as no official window has yet to be provided.
