Platinum Games’ rendition of popular Nickelodeon series The Legend of Korra has ridden a wave of fan enthusiasm since its announcement, but only received its hard release date today: titular protagonist Korra will make her PlayStation and PC debut October 21, with Xbox close behind on October 22, for $14.99.
True to their heritage, Platinum has taken fast- and skill-based action to the series’ elemental combat. Korra will make use of dozens of combos built of the four elements throughout the four-hour game (designed to be replayed), promising the same satisfying sense of mastery seen in Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
We, too, were a part of the aforementioned wave of enthusiasm; we found The Legend of Korra to be a remarkably faithful and intuitive experience when given the opportunity to preview the game earlier this year.
