Electronic Arts is letting fans of Star Wars Battlefront play the new Outer Rim DLC for free, complete with all new maps and game modes, for a limited time.
Unlike the Battlefield 4 and Hardline DLC that EA and DICE earlier gave away for free, the Outer Rim DLC will only be a trial, after the trail period is over player will have to pay for the DLC.
The next big DLC drop for Star Wars Battlefront will be upon us soon and between May 13 to May 15 EAwill allow players test the new content completely free of charge. The four new Outer Rim maps 'Jabba's Palace', the 'Palace Garage' on Tatooine, the' SoroSuub Refinery', and 'Pipelines' on Sullust, the new game mode 'Extraction', and the two new heroes Nien Nunb and Greedo will all be available during the free trial period. Outer Rim specific weapons and Star Cards will only be available for those who purchased either the 'Season Pass' or the 'Outer Rim Digital Standalone Pass' during the trail period.
The free trail of the new Outer Rim content starts tomorrow, May 13, and ends on Sunday, May 15 and will be available on all platforms. So put on your Boba Fett jetpack and jump into the new Battlefront maps before you dish out your hard earned cash on them.
In other Star Wars news: Star Wars Battlefront 2 is already due for release next year, 2017, and EA has plans on releasing one Star Wars game a year for the next four years.
