With any massive open-world game developed by Bethesda, you know you'll be encountering various glitches and bugs that could either leave you with tons of Bottlecaps or with a crashed game. While a number of bugs have been considered 'game-breaking' have been resolved through workarounds, the latest bug has left tons of players at a loss.
Players have taken to Bethesda's official forums reporting a game-breaking bug that occurs during a Brotherhood of Steel settlement quest in Fallout 4. The crash is encountered when players are sent to Monsignor Plaza – stepping into the area will cause the game to crash without warning.
The bug was first reported on the PC version, then revealed to occur on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as well. Currently, there aren't any workarounds for the game-breaking bug, but loading to an earlier save or starting a new game might hold off on the game crashing for a bit. Not every Fallout 4 player has reported encountering the crash, but it's worth being wary of if you're headed to the Monsignor Plaza.
Whatever you do, don't start a new game to get around the issue. The game will more than likely continue to crash in the same area. Hopefully Bethesda will fix the bug through a patch sooner than later.
