PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is easily one of 2017's most notable names in gaming, not only for its oddball title but also for the fact that it has proven to be one of Steam's most played and one of Twitch's most watched games. The game has gained so much momentum that it has even committed to launching on Xbox One later this year, and it's no surprise given how well the game has sold.
So just how well has the game sold? Try over 4 million units. The game's Creative Director recently revealed the milestone on Twitter.
Here's the tweet:
3 months… 4 million copies of @PUBATTLEGROUNDS sold… Thank you all again for your continuing support <3

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is described as a "last-man-standing shooter" where players enter a large arena and scour it for weapons and equipment, trying to stay alive long enough to build themselves up into a competent fighting force to ultimately be left as the lone survivor. The game currently has over 55K User Reviews on Steam for a 74% positive user score; pretty impressive considering it's an Early Access Game.
