PlayStation 4’s The Order: 1886 ‘has a future,’ says Ready at Dawn

Remember that PlayStation 4 game that mixed werewolves, Tesla-style weapons, and lots of hype, well, it looks like we could be getting more games in the universe.

The Order: 1886 was an extremely hyped PlayStation 4 game that was ultimately ripped up in reviews. The game was a cinematic masterpiece that forgot it was supposed to be a game and not a movie. It was an unfortunate realization, especially after the game looked so awesome.

Luckily for us, it looks like the developers will be giving the universe another chance.

"Without giving anything… how can I say this… Is there a future? Yes. That IP has a future. It’s definitely built in that IP," said Ready at Dawn co-founder Ru Weerasuriya told Game Informer.

"That future is already something that was built from the very get-go, from the first day we started working on it. As you know, since you played the game and for the ones who played out there… there is a larger storyline. There is a macro story that keeps going, it’s an IP that is actually bigger than the storylines that we have created. So there are legs to this IP, definitely."

The game had tons of potential, hopefully the next game in that world fixes the shortcomings from the first game.
