Rumors began making rounds yesterday that the PlayStation 4 Pro's 'Boost Mode' could be releasing today as part of firmware update 4.50. While there has been a bit of back and forth on whether the update will actually release today, PlayStation China's official site has not only revealed the patch notes but also that the patch should be releasing today.
PlayStation China has removed the patch details, but Reddit never forgets. Now, the PlayStation China version of the patch won't include details on the Boost Mode, solely because the PS4 Pro has yet to release there. Otherwise, all of the features said to be included in the update, like external hard drive support, GIFs, menu changes and more, are included.
Sony has yet to confirm a date for the firmware to release, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't release today.
