PlayStation Experience 2016: MLB The Show 17 gets a new trailer, retro mode announced

MLB The Show is one of the truest simulations of a sport there is, and for fans of America's past time, it's a dream come true. As is the case with virtually every major sports game, another iteration is just around the corner, and unless you are a Chicago Cubs fans, you're probably itching for your team to right the wrongs from last season on the Diamond.

While there certainly won't be any wholesale changes to the formula, MLB The Show 17 is adding even more little details to the experience such as the Boston Red Sox's outfield victory celebrations and a Retro Mode to commemorate the game's cover athlete, Ken Griffey Jr. The Retro Mode turns the game into a classic NES-era baseball game with an old school overlay and visuals reminiscent of baseball games of old.

MLB The Show 17 releases on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita on March 28th, 2017.
