PlayStation Meeting 2016: Sony reveals slim PS4, releasing this month

Last month, someone managed to get their hands on a slimmer, sleeker PS4. Many questioned the legitimacy of the console but the person who revealed the unannounced console plugged in the unit to a TV and showed it working like a normal PS4. Sony has stayed silent on the matter for weeks now, but now the console has finally been revealed and it is indeed real.

The console will be phasing out the PS4 model that has been sold for 2013 (don't worry your old PS4 will still work, they just won't be selling anymore). You'll be able to purchase the console for $299 starting later this month.

You can buy the console starting September 15th.
