PlayStation Now games are ‘fully featured’

The games you play through PlayStation Now's streaming service will be "fully featured," meaning you will be able to save your game, earn trophies, and even play online multiplayer just as you would through a disc-based version. The details were specified in today's PlayStation Access video in which the channel highlights 10 things you need to know about the newly revealed PlayStation Now service. You can check out the video below for a brief rundown on what was covered at Sony's CES event this week.

One particular specific not mentioned in the video is the speed you'll need for a quality stream through PlayStation Now. Although PS Now will test your connection for each game and optimize the quality accordingly, Sony recommends a 5MBPS+ connection for the best possible experience.

A closed beta for PlayStation Now is scheduled for later this month in the United States and while we're still awaiting details, you can begin what looks like the initial sign-up process. For those who don't get into the beta, a full rollout of PlayStation Now is expected by summer 2014.
