XGen Studios' mining adventure Super Motherload has arrived on Steam Early Access, and that's good news for PC and PlayStation gamers alike.
Super Motherload's alpha version is available for purchase for about $14, or 10 percent off until March 4 (it's regularly priced at $15). To promote the PC release, the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 cross-buy versions are down to $8 (or $4 if you subscribe to the PlayStation Plus service) for one week.
The digging game, which takes place on Mars in an alternate Cold War era, features 150 puzzles and single-player, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer modes. It supports up to four players and is enabled for Big Picture.
Super Motherload's world is procedurally generated, which means it changes every time you play. Image Comics' Kurtis Wiebe wrote the story.
Valve approved Super Motherload through Steam Greenlight back in June. The title launched on PS3 and PS4 in November. A Mac version is in development.
