PlayStation Store’s Top Downloads of the Year 2017

To celebrate the new year, the PlayStation Blog has released the PlayStation Store’s sales numbers for 2017. The past year was a great year for gaming on the PS4 with titles like Horizon Zero Dawn winning many titles at the Game Awards.

These numbers coincide with downloaded tiles on PS4, PS VR, and also themes downloaded for the home screen. Many of the titles make sense with Call of Duty taking the top spot again with Call of Duty: WWII. The second place spot was filled by Destiny 2, which given the general gaming population’s affection for the Bungie title, it shouldn’t be too surprising. But there were a number of unexpected contenders like Friday the 13th: The Game taking third place over Horizon Zero at fourth place.

Take note that these numbers only count downloads from the PlayStation store and not physical copies.
