PlayStation TV supports touchscreen input after all

As well as the rear touchpad

The PlayStation TV has officially launched today, and since I picked one up from my local GameStop, I have started to fiddle around with it, hoping to understand it a bit more.

However, it is essentially, a PS Vita without a screen. That's all there is to it really. The only other major difference is that it doesn't support every single Vita game, especially those that require heavy usage of the touchscreen. However, it turns out that you can still simulate the PS Vita touchscreen and even rear touchpad with the L3 and R3 buttons on your DualShock 3 or 4. You can also click them both at the same time to simulate pressing the front and the back at the same time.

As you can see in the image above, you still have to enable this feature. However, what this doesn't show is that the DualShock 4 can actually simulate the front touchscreen using the touchpad. This doesn't however allow you to use the rear touchpad. It's still a cool feature and I hope to see more Vita enabled games get patched to work on the PlayStation TV.
