PlayStation Vita gets new Flickr app

Adding to an already impressive list of features, Sony has released a free Flickr app for the PlayStation Vita.  The new web service is available for free and allows you to share your photos to Flickr as well as post comments.  The app, which runs exclusively in English, requires you to have a Flickr account in order to share your photos.

The new PS Vita Flickr app joins already existing launch apps Twitter and Nico Nico Video, the Japanese equivalent to YouTube.  Sony also has plans to add apps for Fourquare, Facebook and Skype, though they have not yet announced release dates for any of the.

The PS Vita, which is currently available only in Japan has experienced low sales since its release – with sales recently falling below 20,000 units this past week.  It'll be interesting to see if sales for the handheld will pickup after its release in the United States and Europe in February.
