PlayStation VR already sold out on Amazon

The thirst is real.

Sony took to GDC 2016 with the announcement that everyone had been waiting for – how much the PlayStation VR would cost. Luckily for gamers, the PlayStation VR is priced at $399, making it a cheaper alternative to the Oculus and HTC Vive which are $599 and $799, respectively.

The price for the PlayStation VR was met with apparent praise from the community, as both the UK and German Amazon store were sold out with a couple of minutes of the announcement.

Since the headset sold out Amazon UK has made pre-orders available again, pushing the release date back and stating that there is a limited supply of headsets available

Due to limited stock we are only able to offer one unit per customer per address. We do not currently have a release date for this product. Based on our initial allocation we cannot guarantee release day delivery if you ordered after 11:45 GMT, Wednesday 16 March, 2016. You will be notified via email of the expected delivery date closer to the time. This product comes with a UK plug and therefore may not be suitable for use outside of the UK.

The PlayStation VR is currently unavailable in the US Amazon store — even for pre-order. While you wait for for your PSVR headset, it might be worth it to go out and buy a PlayStation Camera. The headset requires it, but doesn't come with it.
