While it has seemingly gone quiet, PlayStation VR is, in fact, still alive, and back in the news. A new post on the PlayStation Blog has revealed that the peripheral will be expanding upon its bundled offerings, and will now include the required PlayStation Camera beginning on September 1st alongside a small price cut.
The standard bundle, which comes with just the headset will now also feature the PS Camera and will retail for USD $399/ CAD $499. As the blog notes, this is now the new "core PS VR bundle moving forward," so if you're looking for the bare minimum with the peripheral, this is it.
However, if you are in the market for the full experience from the get-go, you'll be happy to know that the PlayStation VR Worlds bundle, which includes two PlayStation Move Controllers and the VR Worlds game, has gotten a price cut. The bundle will now retail for USD $449 / CAD $579, only $50 more than the standard bundle. It is no doubt the best value for your dollar, as both Move Controllers and the VR Worlds game are essentially what make up the difference in price.
Here's what that looks like:
Both bundles will be available at major retailers beginning on September 1st.
