Playtonic’s Banjo Kazooie spiritual successor is being developed for the 3DS

The spiritual successor for Banjo-Kazooie was recently revealed to be back in development after a year of hiatus. The developer working on the game is Playtonic Games, a team of former Rare developers.

When the announcement was made, Playtonic suggested that for nostalgia's sake they would love to see the spiritual successor on a Nintendo platform. It would seem as though they got their wish.

A tweet from the official Playtonic Twitter account has revealed, in their typical semi-vague way, that the Banjo-styled successor would be hitting the 3DS!

There you have it folks! The hype is real.
