‘Plenty of chance’ Halo 5: Guardians could come to PC

Earlier this year there were rumors of two Xbox One exclusives, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Sunset Overdrive, heading to the PC. We have yet to see either game make an appearance on the PC, but that doesn't mean we should give up hope on a Halo game making its return to PC.

According to Frank O'Connor, Halo 5's series director, it's very possible that we could see the game release on PC. With Microsoft's push to regain PC gamers with Windows 10 and how Halo 5 was built – it wouldn't be very hard to envision it releasing on the platform.

During a livestream with GamesRadar, O'Connor took the dive and answered the fated question, will we ever see Halo 5 on the PC?

“You know, Microsoft has made a huge commitment trying sort of… I think normalize the Windows experience across multiple platforms. You see the elements of Windows 10 are going to appear in Xbox and Cortana and stuff like that. There is plenty of chance that Halo 5 could appear on the PC. Nothing to announce at this point… you know, we developed the game on an Intel platform. It wouldn’t be the hardest thing in the world to move it to PC and take advantage of PC stuff. But nothing I announce today on this chat.”

O'Connor does take care to note that the 343 Industries don't have anything to announce on the PC front yet, but he does make it very clear that it wouldn't be a tough task to make the port.
