Bulkhead Interactive, the studio that has brought you Pneuma Breath of Life and the upcoming Battalion 1944, has announced that their new first person puzzle game The Turing Test will come to Xbox One and PC on August 30th.
The Turing Test follows the story of Ava Turing, an engineer for the International Space Agency (ISA), as she attempts to uncover the truth behind strange events at the research base on Jupiter’s moon, Europa. As Ava, players must use their Energy Manipulation Tool (EMT) to transfer power from one object to another; powering up and taking control of artificially intelligent machines, manipulating giant structures and solving complex tasks–all set to a backdrop of a multi-layered narrative that challenges the player on what it means to be human.
“The Turing Test is a remarkable achievement – both visually and narratively – from a team of only six developers,” said Phil Elliott, creator and project lead for Square Enix Collective. “Square Enix Collective is all about championing talented teams and bringing great games to our community – and The Turing Test is a game we can’t wait for people to get their hands on.”
“We’re excited to be a part of Square Enix’s plans for the future of the industry,”said Howard Philpott, Creative Producer at Bulkhead Interactive. “For The Turing Test they’ve opened many doors that wouldn’t have been accessible to us without their connections or years of experience in publishing games.”
