PocketSprite is a tiny Game Boy emulator for your keychain

If you’ve ever wanted to take Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Sega Master System, and Game Gear games on the go, but didn’t want to cart around a bunch of emulators, you’re in luck. PocketSprite is a full featured emulation console that’s not only tiny but also fully funded on Crowd Supply.

The tiny emulation device isn’t locked to simply playing Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Sega Master System, and Game Gear games, it’s open source, which means you can bring even more games to PocketSprite.

PocketSprite instantly resumes gameplay from where you left off when you choose to play again, has rechargeable batteries, features one-click uploads via Wi-Fi for new games, software, and updates, as well as a number of other features.

In order to allow gamers the ability to play “every single game” that was featured on the previously listed devices, PocketSprit comes pre-loaded with two emulators, GNUBoy and SMS Plus.

The device comes either pre-built or in pieces, so owners can have the satisfaction of having put it together themselves.

PocketSprite has hit $25,474, which is $5K over its $20,000 goal. Prices start at $45.
