Pokémon Art Academy launches for 3DS this October

Nintendo announced today that Pokémon Art Academy will launch for the Nintendo 3DS on October 24, 2014.

Announced back in May, the Pokémon Art Academy is a combination of the monster-collection RPG Pokémon and the Art Academy game designed to teach you how to draw you favorite Pokémon. Players of all skills will be trained through a series of "easy-to-follow" lessons under the tutelage of Professor Andy. You'll start with the art basics of simple shapes and coloring before taking more advanced techniques like shading and blending. You will also wield a variety of tools, including markers, colored pencils, pastels and paint.

Once drawn, you can share your creations with the world in Miiverse galleries. Or you can save your creations to the SD card and print the limited-edition work. I know what my family is getting for Christmas this year — lots of terrible Pokémon drawings!

Pokémon Art Academy will be available for the 3DS through the Nintendo eShop.
