Pokemon Go Adds Generation 2 Pokemon

New Pokemon are coming to coming to Pokemon Go! Niantic and The Pokemon Company announced today that baby Pokemon like Pichu and Togepi are coming to the game in a special way.

Debuting in Pokemon Gold and Silver, Pichu, Togepi and a few select Pokemon will be appearing in Pokemon Go from eggs. Players can't catch them in the wild like normal Pokemon, but they can visit PokeStops and collect Pokemon eggs to hatch them. Not only Pichu and Togepi, but other "select Pokemon" will appear as well (One of which reportedly being Cleffa). This may be a reason to fire up the app once again and walk to Starbucks to catch some Pokemon.

While there's no news on the rest of the Gold and Silver line-up, there is news on a special Pikachu available in Pokemon Go now until December 29. He's a holiday edition Pikachu rumored to be wearing a "festive hat". One can only assume Pikachu is playing Santa!
