Pokemon GO leads to discovery of dead body

It's not secret that Pokemon GO has slowly taken over the minds and phones of plenty of people. Common thought had it that someone would be hit by a car while playing the game – not find a body. Apparently, one Pokemon GO player went outside to catch a few Pokemon and was met with a horrid discovery instead of a Pokemon.

19-year-old Shayla Wiggins woke up with the intention of capturing a Water-type Pokemon from a local water source. To do so, she jumped over a fence and made her way to the water. It was there that she found the body.

"I was walking towards the bridge along the shore when I saw something in the water," Shayla told County10. "I had to take a second look and I realized it was a body." Shayla went on to detail that the body was floating about three feet from the shore and it looked like an average size male body

"It was pretty shocking," said Shayla. "I didn't really know what to do at first. But I called 911 right away and they came really quickly." Shortly after authorities arrived they took Shayla down to the scene where she had indicated she found the body.

According to local police, “The death appears to be accidental in nature and possibly that of a drowning. There is no evidence at this time that would indicate foul play. Evidence located at the scene has led investigators to believe the man went into the water at the location he was found.”

Well, there's one thing that Pokemon GO has done by getting kids out of the house.
