Pokemon Go has recently wrapped up its latest Global Event Challenge. One of the rewards for players completing the challenge was unlocking certain region locked Pokemon in other regions. But it seems Niantic has more rewards in stock.
Players have been able to catch Lugia, Pokemon Silver's legendary bird, since July. But Ho-Oh was mysteriously absent next to its counterpart. But thanks to the completion of the Global Catch Challenge, Niantic has unlocked the golden bird in Raid Battles worldwide. "As a result of all your hard work," Niantic said in a statement, "Ho-Oh is now appearing in Raid Battles at Gyms around the world until December 12, 2017."
Niantic continues to support Pokemon Go, although they have another project coming. Their latest project was announced as Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. They've promised, however, that this will not impact their support of Pokemon Go.
