While Pokemon GO has had most of the original first gen Pokemon in its ranks (legendaries notwithstanding), one of the seemingly oddest ommissions was the little transforming Pokemon, Ditto. This appears to be no more if the current Twitter storm is to be believed. Users have been posting images of their Ditto over the last few hours, and if that's not proof enough, one user captured the event on video.
Here's the tweet with the video:

You will know that you've caught a Ditto when the word "Oh?" appears over the Pokeball instead of "Gotcha!" The Pokemon you just caught will then envelope itself in light and reveal itself as Ditto. So basically, the only way to find Ditto, is to catch EVERYTHING. This would explain then why Ditto wasn't originally in the game when it launched, as the Transforming Pokemon is quite a bit different than your standard catch. There's seems to be a little more programming involved, not to mention added game mechanics, but it's good to see Ditto make it out into the wild before Gen 2.
