When Pokemon Go first released, the only thing we knew was that the game featured 142 of the original 150 Pokemon. The remaining Pokemon were expected to be made available during events and while this hasn't happened yet, we do know that some of the region-locked Pokemon aren't as region-locked as we thought.
There are four Pokemon locked to different regions:
- North America: Tauros
- Europe: Mr. Mime
- Asia: Farfetch'd
- Australasia: Kangaskhan
Apparently, each of these Pokemon can be hatched from 10km eggs. Unfortunately, 10km eggs are a bit hard to come by. Before the first patch hit Pokemon GO, users reported that they only got around 10-15 10km eggs out of every 200 eggs. Since the patch, the drop rate has been even lower.
At least there's some hope, for the avid walker, to hatch these region-locked Pokemon.
