Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire coming to 3DS

Nintendo certainly dropped a Megaton out of nowhere today, when they silently announced a remake of another one of their earlier Pokemon games, dubbed Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire.

While the new video doesn't show what the game will look like, whether it will sport a similar 3D look to Pokemon X and Y, or the more traditional look like Black and White, we do get a pretty solid release date, November 2014.

The description reads:

Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
