If this isn't one of the greatest uses of the Oculust Rift ever then I don't know what is.
Chadtronic has brought the Nintendo 64 classic Pokemon snap to the Oculus Rift. If this doesn't continue the strong urge for the franchise to make a return, then I don't know what will.
Chadtronic mentions that he mapped the Rift to the mouse and using a plug-in to control the game's camera. As he looks around with the Rift, the camera moves along with him. While it may not be, say, a "perfect" VR experience, I'd be lying to say that it's not really flippin' cool.
It also actually makes me excited to see what else is possible with the Oculus Rift.
Crap, how the heck did I get excited for Virtual Reality? Leave it to Pokemon, I guess.
There are tons of other videos that feature the Oculus Rift and Nintendo classics. You should absolutely check them out.
