Nintendo used their 3DS themed Nintendo Direct to reveal the new Pokemon Games, Sun and Moon. A Nintendo Treehouse representative took us through the new features coming in the upcoming games. The direct covered the new regional Pokemon, as well as a couple details on Z-Moves.
The Alolan Rattata was revealed during the Direct, it changes the Pokemon to a Dark/Normal-type due to territory battles with Yungoos in Alola.
Pokemon Sun and Moon will both be bringing a new move to the series, the Z-Move. This move was detailed previously to be an action that can only be used once per battle.
A special Munchlax will be available to anyone who "starts their Pokemon journey early" in Pokemon Sun and Moon. This Munchlax will feature a special Z-Move and Z-Crystal (Snorlium Z). It's Z-Move is an evolves it into Snorlax, which is capable of a special 'Pulvarizing Pancake' move.
There are two conditions for performing Z-Moves: a Pokémon must learn a move of the same type as a Z-Crystal, and it must be holding the corresponding Z-Crystal.
Purchasing either Pokemon Sun or Pokemon Moon prior to January 11th, 2017 will secure you this Pokemon.
Pokemon Sun and Moon are set to release on November 18th, 2016.
